this post will shortly be followed my mental hating on my car and then asserting that his car is better.

BTW, my car has no problem taking on a tornados. i do it all the time.

^ dont hate on my kicks either

sry for the different sizes, but this is my precious. 2000 honda prelude base. H22a4. stock, besides the strut bars, xenon headlights, hood, and iridium sparks and wiring. so... like i said... stock.

I am accepting donations for a new valve train, eventually ITBs and side exhaust for faster, shorter air flow and better throttle response. keepin it N/A for now. i wanna supercharge, but then ill need to fabricate a throttle body intake between the SC and the ITBs. but the amount of money required to get that all running efficiently and with a decent power gain will be quite a few pretty pennies. and then some to maintain it.

BMW's rock, but if someone started doing this crap next to me on the road I'd put em in the wall! Not such a nice car when it's all smashed up is it? lol. :-)

Lol its pretty cool though. Those guys meet up and go out speeding and what not. They have little sensors in there cars to let them know when they are near a police car radar or street radar. As they get closer, the alarm intensifies.

Top Gear - another reason to love the british :). Probably THE best program of all time, though i think recently they've started trying too hard.

Lamborghini has and probably always will be my favourite make of car, the new Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera and Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce are the sweetest looking cars ever. This year they're replacing the Murcielago with a new model, i can't wait for them to show it.

@Dental - At my home home i live about 10 minutes away from the richest part of England (yeah i'm not part of that :P) and theres a guy who has a white GT-R, the new 2010 model, with black wheels, tinted windows etc. It goes past my house quite a lot, and is the sweetest looking thing ever!

^^ someone wishes they were jeremy clarkson...

dill, i have no idea what your talking about. the h22a4 handles compression just fine. the only big issue is that the block has frm sleeves, and that only becomes a problem when looking at after market upgrades. most retards who upgrade their pistons, dont re-sleeve, and end up cracking a wall due to the increased friction between the stock frm sleeves and the forged pistons. but h22s will commonly start running rich, causing the compression to increase, which isnt VTECs fault... but that can happen in all cars, with regular maintenance its no problem.

VTEC is the boost plus "double the lag" of a turbo because IABs open at 4900 and then VTEC pops later at 5200 rpm, instead of building up like a turbo (dont take that literally, but i hope you get what i mean). dont know why anyone says its garbage, the theory behind it is absolutely genius. hold open the valves wider or longer at high rpm.

ive seen n/a preludes stomp turbos. ive seen turbo'ed preludes stomp twin turbos. ive also seen fully built preludes get stomped by something totally unexpected and way less built. H22s are in a category of their own for that reason.

but i have to say your wrong in this particular case. it might seem like garbage from your experiences, but i, from driving my car and driving against my car, can say that VTEC is no way a joke. ive raced a 2010 ms3 the week he got it. he would nose ahead until i hit VTEC than he would nose ahead again, then id hit VTEC... and the 2010 ms3 has a 18lb turbo stock plus he had a short ram. just saying VTEC makes a huge difference.

H22a4 + VTEC = ridiculous 4 banger

if by 'doesn't handle compression well' you mean eventual damage to valves? that would be arguable, but even then, valves go bad anyway. h22s will usually get 100k miles out of them before any valve work is needed, mine is a perfect example of that. but VTEC has nothing to do with handling the compression. its just a system thats increases power output at higher rpm at no cost or investment by the engine (like the parasidic effect of a super or the spooling of a turbo)

actually, now im thinking u might have VTEC and MIVEC mixed up...
