Guest Halabrad
There is a strong chance that I will be moving to Rhode Island (from Georgia, a 1000 mi culture change) for college early next year. Just wondering if anybody was in that general area, because I wont know a soul up there

Guest RET.Maj.SKI=US=
Don't live up there, but I have worked in N.Y, Mass. & New Hampshire. They talk funny, of course they said the same about me (from TN).

Guest Oui230
I'm originally from NH. Rhode Island isn't too bad, the change in climate will be the biggest difference. I'm in upstate NY after living in NC for 7 years and have to say personally I prefer living up here.
Guest Halabrad
The winter will definatly be a big change. IF (which it doesnt happen often) we get snow down here it isnt more than an inch or two. but even with only 1", all the public schools shut down and every flips out. NYC is only a couple hour drive from Providence, might have to make a weekend trip down there
