Not sure how helpful this part of your post was, but I did not realize that the mouse was just for looking around. So do you use rudder at all? Has anyone ever heard of anyone successfully using TrackIR V in BF3? Seems like it could be done, but I don't want to try if it is viewed as hacking or cheating. In all honesty I doubt it would give you much of an advantage, it will probably make you worse than with a mouse and keyboard. But if you get it setup be sure to take pics + video!
