Back then most of you thought that American Football was the most popular sport in the USA. Baseball was 2nd, Nascar 3rd and basketbal 4th. Which is the most popular sport in the USA at the moment? I just like to see if that has changed over time. Its mostly a southern thing and your likely to have a pretty good time at any NASCAR or smaller organized race tracks. Guest Ret.Maj.Xander=US= Posted July 15, 2008 Share Posted July 15, 2008 American Football is America's pastime, the fantasy football hype, Monday Night Football, every Sunday during the season people watch it religiously and with (sometimes) loud enthusiasm. Baseball is just always on, I mean sure there are some exciting parts but its just a long drawn out game where people are standing around most of the time. Baseball is also one of the few "real" sports that you can have a pot belly and still be successful. See yall have no interest because you do not know what goes into setting up a car to go fast, let alone know how to drive one. Nascar is a sport of hundredths or thousandths of a second competition. On road courses like, Infineon, Watkins Glen, and others, those take the most skill being able to run. Driving a car or truck to it's limits is rather fun. It's not the only thing I like, I'll watch everything and can carry on a conversation about most any sport except for soccer. Even the nationwide race gets good ratings for a saturday night. and yes, WRC is awesome Mystical :). I miss the coverage they used to have on SPEED channel so it's hard to keep up with now.
