Comment on the military.com article says it all: Sgt. Meyer, you did not let your brothers down. You allow them to rest in peace by bringing them home to their families rather than being given up to the enemy. Well done Marine. http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/09/15/marine.medal.of.honor/index.html?eref=rss_topstories&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+rss%2Fcnn_topstories+%28RSS%3A+Top+Stories%29 http://www.military.com/news/article/marine-to-receive-moh-sept-15.html Sent from Tapatalk
Guest RET.CW4.ThievingSix=US= Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Yeah their very similar. HAF X has native front panel USB ports, a duct for cooling graphics cards and a little cooling support and XL-ATX compatibility with 9 PCI slots. The difference is marginal and i honestly think both are quality cases.Unboxing the H80, i was happy to see that they included 2 fans, unlike previous editions that supported 2 but only came with 1.http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o243/ThievingSix/Pc%20Build/DSC01244.jpghttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o243/ThievingSix/Pc%20Build/DSC01245.jpgVertex 3 SSDhttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o243/ThievingSix/Pc%20Build/DSC01247.jpgI5 2500k processor with Intel's stock heat sinkhttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o243/ThievingSix/Pc%20Build/DSC01246.jpgDominator Ram
Guest RET.CW4.ThievingSix=US= Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Here's the ending to my story. After getting in game and bf3 for a, while the card would not show any display after crashing while watching a video. I would get past POST and then the starting windows screen would show and then nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers fully and using different versions and nothing seemed to fix the problem, the card worked fine in safemode but would not work with the drivers. As a last ditch effort i took my card out and placed in back in again and like magic it started working, it was really odd.So here the last few pictures of my build.http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o243/ThievingSix/Pc%20Build/DSC01248.jpgThe motherboard was definitely as beastly as expectedhttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o243/ThievingSix/Pc%20Build/DSC01250.jpgMessy Build area = Good buildhttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o243/ThievingSix/Pc%20Build/DSC01252.jpghttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o243/ThievingSix/Pc%20Build/DSC01249.jpghttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o243/ThievingSix/Pc%20Build/DSC01251.jpghttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o243/ThievingSix/Pc%20Build/DSC01253.jpgIn the PC world size matters, here is a comparison of the old and the new.All in all it was a great experience, and i definitely learnt a lot. Would i build again?, even though i had a lot of trouble and my motherboard travelled over 40000 km's it was a lot of fun and i got exactly what i wanted for a great price. Also here is a list of all the parts i usedItem name: COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKN1 Black Steel/ Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer CaseLink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119225Price: $169.99Item name: Western Digital Caviar Black WD1502FAEX 1.5TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare DriveLink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136793Price: $94.99Item name: EVGA 012-P3-1571-AR GeForce GTX 570 HD w/Display-Port (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video CardLink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130621Price: $319.99Item name: CORSAIR Professional Series Gold AX750 (CMPSU-750AX) 750W ATX12V v2.31 / EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power SupplyLink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139016Price: $169.99Item name: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMP4GX3M2C1600C7Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145290Price: $69.99Item name: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOSLink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131730Price: $194.99Item name: Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500KLink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072Price: $219.99Item name: Microsoft Windows 7 ProfessionalLink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116717Price: $264.99Item name: SONY Black 12X BD-R 2X BD-RE 8X DVD+R 5X DVD-RAM 8X BD-ROM 8MB Cache SATA Blu-ray Burner BD-5300S-0B - OEMLink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118050Price: $99.99Item name: CORSAIR H80 (CWCH80) High Performance Liquid CPU CoolerLink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181016Price: $91.99Item name: OCZ Vertex 3 Series – MAX IOPS Edition VTX3MI-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227714Price: $239.99
