I don't suggest you get a $15 headset. The sound quality is crap and they fall apart easy.

I got the Razer Charcharias. Although they're pretty pricey just look at it this way. 3 30$ headsets in a year (has happened before) or one for 99$ that lasts well over a year with good sound quality completely covers your ears very comfortable, the 15-30$ ones give you a headache after about an hour. Only complaint is the volume control section gets rapped around my chair arm sometimes forcing you to clip it onto your shirt.

I have the trittons at home and they are awesome if you are willing to spend around 130. they are compatible with PC, Xbox and PS3 as well. The sound quality is great and the mic works really well.

I had a $20 logitech headset that lasted me about a year. It was a good headset, but eventually the wiring from the volume control to the headset started breaking (this happens to every pair of headphones/headsets I use, ever). Right now I'm using a $30 Turtlebeach EarForce headset. The sound quality is alright, but apparently the mic picks up more background noise than the previous one did.

Some friends adviced me to take this one. It costed €79.99 and I must say, it's a pretty good headset.

My cousin has them. Superb headsets for the money. Some notes to take: The wire is pretty long (can be good or bad), microphone is removable, the ear cups might look small but they are more towards the ear shape rather than a complete circle and it is quite comfortable, it can be REALLY loud if cranked all the way up(he lays them down and uses them as actual speakers when listening to music sometimes).

I have the Razer Megalodon btw

It just has a bit better sound quality and that panel thing to control the volume.

*Edit: 70$ USD price difference.

If you're getting a headset and spending a lot of money on it, it isn't worth your time getting anything less than 5.1 surround sound.

A stereo, 2.1, headset will be just as good for $20 as it will for $60 - give or take a bit of comfort.

Can you switch from 2.0 to 7.1 instantly?

I'm using a Turtle beach Earforce X11, it was expensive but the sound quality is amazing. It is worth the steeper price tag. I originally bought it for Xbox but since switching over to the proper side of gaming

I have been using it on my PC with great results.
