Based on pricing, the 2500k might be the best price/performance CPU ever. Fro just over $220, you beat most everything on that market. THATS how you launch a new product. I fully expect older i5/i7 chips and AMD to reduce prices over the next month as a result of this type of performance gain.

Guest gamerk2
Not yet, probably around the same as the processor, or about 200-250.
Guest RET.CW4.ThievingSix=US=
Sounds good although im a little worried about actual overclocking performance seeing as intel has locked alot of the multipliers.
Guest gamerk2
^^ These things are htting 4.6+ GHz on AIR @ 1.4V, and we already hear of a few >5GHz at around 1.45V. Its multiplyer only now when it comes to OCing, but these things run cool enough where it seems like its REALLY easy to OC. [Which in hindsight explains why Intel is only releasing a few that are unlocked; no more Q6600's :D]. Also, I know of one mobo by MSI that costs $179, so I guessed high on mobo prices... Guest CC.Decayed=US=
so the $200 sandy bridge will be LGA 1155 variety. The 1356 is probably gonna be much more and come later in the year. Soon after that Ivy is right around the corner using LGA 2011, what's up with that? for those following ivy: http://www.techeye.net/chips/intels-ivy-bridge-will-rule-the-chip-roost
