Independence Day

[B]This clan was designed to be a tribute to our troops whom have laid down their lives for the freedoms as Americans that we all enjoy. We have all read about troops that have died on foreign soil protecting liberty and freedom for ourselves and other nations. Independence Day gets lost on alot of people. Alot of younger people do not realize the significance of the holiday and instead only know it is a day of fireworks and cookouts. Yes we all know the 4th is the day that the Declaration of Independence was signed by the founding fathers of this nation, However, Not many think of it as a day of mourning and triumph for many,many soldiers and "citizen soldiers" who laid down their lives to protect the words written on a simple piece of paper. So on Sunday night when you are staring at the heavens watching those fireworks explode. Think back to the days when those fireworks were the written " Rockets red glare and the bombs bursting in air" and give a thanks to those soldiers and the many that have followed since who have defended the freedoms and liberties of people all over this globe and in our own great nation.
