Guest Hornet117
AVG is good... I personally prefer Avast. Also free. Nothing really different between them to be honest.
Guest Whiskey-Bent
I prefer not using one, being careful what you run, and if you get something just do a system reformat. I like to try to reformat once every 1-2 years anyway
Guest RET.PO2.Basman=US=
Thanks for the advice, I now have a new problem, and will be side lined for a day or two.....the PSU finally fried on me last night, just as SrA.Allen's practice started, which I hate the fact that I missed, I am happy that we had the turn out that we had. So I am in the process of getting a new PSU. And yes Capt.Buckshot, I know I should have done this sooner.
Guest Ret.Maj.Xander=US=
Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 have Windows Defender installed. It gets updated multiple times every day with new virus definitions and it's built into Windows. Use that and don't disable UAC and you should have no problems avoiding almost any virus.
