Guest LeetSpork
I have about a $1300 budget. Main thing that I would want to do with the computer is play games like BF4, Arma 3 (obv not ultra), Skyrim (with lots and lots of texture mods) If anyone could help me out with picking parts and guiding me through building it when I order that would be great. It won't be for a while since I still need to sell my laptop and PS3 first. Thanks!
Guest Halabrad
do you have any parts to start with?
Guest RET.1SG.Maysin=US=
1300$ is a better than average budget i would say. You can build a good gaming rig for around $1000.

Guest SamCaie
OK what are your priorities? I am very experienced with building computers. My current build is $3500 :) Priorities should be considered like this: #1 CPU. Pick your core! #2 Motherboard. This has to match your CPU's pins! #3 What is it going to be used for? if for gaming, you'll want a nice GPU (graphics card) and some RAM. For videoing, you'll want a fair bit more RAM plus maybe an SSD. #4 Do you want a fast boot time? SSD or HDD? #5 pick your monitor #6 pick accessories let me know if you plan on videoing and such! I'll be in touch! I can guide you all the way!
Guest RET.GEN.Darmine
Use your old stuff if you can, unless you are doing a completely new one. If you want to stay in that budget stick with LGA 1155 (CPU socket type).
Guest LeetSpork
Thank you everyone. I am starting completely fresh because currently I have an Asus G74SX which I'm selling to my friend.
