I have been kicking around the thought of building a new Rig.

Tell what you think If you don't like A part please explain why?

My first choice for SSD's was Samsung 840 pro 256GB but was out of stock.

OS I have both Win 7 or 8 pro 64 Still not liking W8 yet So 7 pro will most likely be loaded on Raid 0 SSD's storage drive 1-2 TB hard drive have a couple floating around.

That sounds like a pretty solid rig sir. The samgung 830 ASDa are also really good, and even better if you can find them on sale. When I was looking for new parts I looked at the 840 but they were still new and hadn't en properly updated yet

+1 for the Sabertooth board. I have the 990FX and it is a great board. As far as Windows 8 I would not recommend. I was using Windows 8 Pro x64, and it had soooo many problems running games. Most of the games I tried did not run the greatest or had known incompatibilities. I tried SC2 HOTS, GTA 4, and Fallout 3 and they all just crash upon loading a level. Even the games that did run well, ran at a lower FPS than on Windows 7 (about 10 FPS less). I wouldn't go with Windows 8 again until they fix the directx issues. And if you run multiple monitors, then get used to reseting your config often. Windows 8 likes to "Auto detect" what it thinks you want for a config fairly often.

Looks like a pretty system.

If you want to Sli later and ad more SSD's I suggest a 850W power supply. Other then that it looks good.

Do you really think that extra miniscule boost is worth the extra 100 bucks sir?

I would settle for this

As for RAM, you could find 2x8 GB sticks and you'll save yourself headaches in the long run.

Other than that this thing is going to be a beast.

Wow that's basically identical to my PC!

you have the GTX780, I have dual GTX670 FTWs in SLI. I can tell you, you'll play BF3 in Ultra at 120fps+

Do I just not see the HDD? A single 128GB SSD will not hold enough... I'd recommend an additional HDD, such as the Seagate Barracuda 1TB or 2TB hard drive.

Also, in case you want to SLI, just start with the bigger PSU. I have the Corsair TX850W that works great with my setup. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7195039&CatId=2534

Also, +1 on the 2x8GB RAM. The Corsair Vengeance RED RAM is great! 2x8GB modules @ 1866 MHz

A1C.SamCaie,

1-2 TB hard drive have a couple floating around.

VADM, I also use a 128 SSD, I recommend the OCZ SSD Vertex 4 (AMAZON vs NEWEGG)

+1 on OCZ. Sparkyghost=US= has the 128 GB OCZ SSD, and I have the 240 GB OCZ SSD. They seem to have faster write speeds than the other ones, so I definitely agree.

I have the storage Drive already. Just loaded the SSD I got a Samsung 840 250GB its smoking fast on my old PC I load into game BF3 in 40 seconds and a 6 second windows boot. I may add another 840 and set them raid 0 just to see if its even faster? But when you spend about 2200 on a build what's another 100 mean I am already sick enough to spend this much.

Also upgrading Memory to 32GB.

I am stage building this so my credit card doesn't catch fire.

SO I have the Case and first SSD. this Friday will be the power supply and DVD Rom and CPU cooler.

Then maybe the rest all at once.

nice build Sir! that stage building is definitely the best way!

Interesting, so you all noticed a diff in BF3 load times between SSD and standard?

I also have a WD 10k veloci raptor but really that wasn't much faster loading compared to the SSD

It feels 10X faster to me.

yes BF3 loads much faster when it's on an SSD. I can be in-game about 15 seconds after I join a server.
