Guest RET.SSgt.SonicMulisha=US=
I am having an overheating issue that is puzzling me. But until i get it fixed i will not be playing(Which really sucks because i was starting to like the game). Unless someone knows of a program that will overlay in the game so i can monitor my cpu and gpu temps.

Guest CC.Decayed=US=
I believe rivatuner has an overlay otherwise gpuz has a logging featuer while you can't see it on demand at least u can see if it's spiking. Or get a second monitor temporarily :)
Guest RET.CW4.ThievingSix=US=
most over clocking tools have an overlay option, EVGA precision has it, MSI after burner has it i think
Guest BionicLunchbox
yeah, afterburner has one too, thats what I use.
Guest RET.SSgt.SonicMulisha=US=
I have tried a couple of those the only problem is that I can get the GPU temp to show up but not the CPU. I can get both of them to show up on the same program. My motherboard is a Biostar Geforce7025 with an Athlon 64 x2 5000+ chip To answer the graphics card i have 2 of them. the 8600gt or the 7800gt.... I just got the 7800gt given to me last nite. From what I have been reading the 7800gt is the better card... So im not sure I am gonna try the 7800 and see if it is any better.

It has a plugin for realtemp which does show cpu. Now your cpu is pretty old, so I'm unsure if realtemp will pick it up. Another question is, why do you need it? Are you looking for a certain temp? You can also just set up alerts with the typical speedfan/coretemp/realtemp if you are looking for a specific temp.
Guest Ret.Maj.Xander=US=
for my CPU temp I use Core Temp http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

Although coretemp is probably a better tool. AFAIK, realteam + rivatuner is the only way to do it.

I switched a fan around and it seems to be doing much better. And I have Core Temp already and no it doesnt do overlays. I looked into the other program realtemp and i dont think that it supports my board. Ill just keep my fingers crossed.

Guest Ret.Maj.Xander=US=
when dealing with computer temps its almost always referred to in Celsius. An average temp for a CPU is between 40-55 degress Celsius. Although your system will run hotter since its a laptop (and a Dell) and thats common. But over 100 degs F is fine as long as its not like 160+ you are ok. Sorry I didn't read that you wanted overlays.
Guest gamerk2
100F = Good 100C = REALLY REALLY BAD So...you ARE reading F and not C, right?

Guest BigMac530
Lol wow. The TJ Max is 100C. Everything else is at 40C-45C. Meaning i actually CAN run at 100C but nothing above it. Can your computer run at 200F, Decayed?
