Guest SoundOfDeath Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Does anyone know why my CD drive could not be working? It's been like this for a while, but I've always used steam..so I haven't bothered with it. Windows says it's working fine, and it shows up on my Device manager. The CD drive opens, but when I put a CD in it and close it it acts like there isn't a CD in it.
Guest RET.CW4.ThievingSix=US= Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Its probably a driver issue or maby the disc head is broken. You could just buy another drive for $20 their dirt cheap
Guest SoundOfDeath Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I tried updating drivers too. The reason I'm asking is because I'm going to be building a new computer soon.
Guest SoundOfDeath Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Where would I find that out? It says in device manager ATA
Guest Mullens Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 well if it doesn't work or read and it opens its a great coffee cup holder :)
Guest Dill Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 My CD drive crapped out last year after the motor broke on it.
