Guest RET.SSgt.Haterade=US=
Hello everyone. For some reason, when playing BC2, the screen will flicker between the textures and a black screen for a few seconds. When it is a black screen, however, I can still see the spotting triangles (but nothing else). It will happen maybe once out of every 10 games I play. I've never had this problem with any other program or setting; it's just when I play BC2 on multiplayer. It doesn't even happen when I'm playing single player. This is my computer: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01701249&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN#N886 I post a link because I don't know what hardware I need to list for y'all. Oh, and in case it makes a difference, I access the internet through wi-fi; it's a cable modem and the router is like 10 feet away.
Guest Kaine
I had this problem frequently during the early versions of the game. It has nothing to do with your internet connection. I still get this problem for a few seconds maybe once in 30 games. It's like blackness in large pixelated blocks that moves to some degree as you look around the screen. The fix is very easy: Just look around in a circle, and it'll disappear. If this is not what you're describing, then ignore what I said, but if what I'm describing sounds like the problem you're having, give it a try and let us know. Guest LTC.DentalMav=US=
I had a similar problem when I first installed the game, and the solution for me was to update my video card drivers
Guest 3lmo
as for the wifi situation if its only ten feet why not put a cable?
Guest Senth
update driver and make sure the game integrty is good.. i use steam where there is a option where u can check if the files are not corrupted. You got a 9800GT with vista 64 bit. 258.96 WHQL is the lastest driver for nvidia.com so check that driver out. i had that same problem with my ATI .its not hardware issue its driver. Because honestly it hasn't mattered much before now; I was really just surfing and doing light-use interneting. I'm going to get a cable when I get my headset...but that'll be a couple of weeks.
