Anyone know a good gaming headset I can buy? I am looking for something that goes behind the head and thin. With a 6'+ cord length as well. I thinking about buying this one right now. I been using this one for the pass 2-3 years. By the way, I am going to order it today since my old headset broken yesterday. So summit your comments now. :D

' is feet " is inches. I have the Logitech 350. Its nice but it makes your voice sound alot higher then it is. Its not one of those that go behind the head though. There was one that i Used by logitech but it is too bulky for your tastes.

Fixed, I need a 6'+ cord length. Yea, I don't want anything too bulky because I don't have speakers, so I will be wearing my headset for long periods. I need something that is comfortable, thin with decent sound/mic quality. The bulky headsets give me a headache because they're always tight around my head and they make my ears sweat.

I have these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-Audio-345-Enhanced-Multimedia/dp/B000VDB0DW/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=officeproduct&qid=1273428340&sr=8-12 Cheap and really good quality, also comes with USB adaptor for those who want to use it for a soundcard.

I hope I'm not too late but http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104024&cm_re=headset-_-26-104-024-_-Product is a terrible headset. The one you have now is better. The plantronics above is also terrible. The mic faces outwards on mine and I can't fix it... so you end up with more background noise than your voice. But maybe that was just mine. I have used both and they are both terrible. The bulky ones are way better, for sound quality, mic quality, and gaming quality. Esp a game like BC2 where directional sound can mean the difference between killing or dying. Good luck

I know the bulky ones have better sound and mic quality but they don't feel too good for long hours of play. I can barely keep one on for more than 2 hours. I play for long hours and I also use my headset when I am not playing, so I am will to give up a little sound/mic quality for something more comfortable.

The funny thing was my wife got me the headset, and she was not happy that I didn't like it. Maybe I will check it out again lol. I have a big head and no speakers. But I ended up getting earbuds for listening to stuff and a bulkier headset for gaming. War tapes with a decent 3d headset are pretty amazing lol.

I like the one you've been using for 2-3 years. I use the same one and when i broke it i simply bought the same one again, its light and works perfectly. My suggestion is just to stick with the old one.

My setup http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836111601&cm_re=logitech_microphone-_-36-111-601-_-Product and http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB770G/A?fnode=MTY1NDA0Ng&mco=MTA4NTA2ODU I got some nice speakers but honestly nothing sounds better than when i'm wearing these headphones. Also i seem to be one of the few people on the planet where iPod headphones fit great in my ears. If you want quality always go with USB sets. Much better everything.

really? ipod headphones? man you need to try some nice earbuds... http://www.shure.com/americas/products/earphones-headphones/scl-models/scl4-earphones You will be amazed. Bring some alcohol wipes and head over to brookstone and try them out. I have heard parts in songs I never knew existed, and rich bass from earbuds is a pleasure.

rather use that money for a new TB hard drive, or save towards a better monitor. sound quality is the last on my list.

Yeah I agree, but you can always make that argument right? I'd rather save it for 2 SSD's so I can raid, etc. But, considering I travel at least every other week for work, I am actually on my headphones a lot on the plane. So it was worth the investment. I can't stand the crying kids, the chatty ladies, and the engine noise, hehe.

Best Gaming Headset on the market = Razer Megalodon. Trust me these are good for its high price. 7.1 Surround Sound with a feature to switch between 7.1 and 2.0 ON THE SPOT. This headset does not go behind your head but these are VERY comfortable. Velvet texture earcups and padding on the top for your head. This headset also features an onboard Sound Card. So it takes a load of your CPU when it comes to sound. Check them out: http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169420200/parentCategoryID.35096300/categoryId.40856100
