Gamepad Software IE: xbox 360 controller

I just bought an xbox 360 controller for my PC lastnight hoping I would be using it to fly. Well what I found out is that good old microsoft sucks as usuall. I couldn't use it because of the button configuration. So here we go, what to do now? Well one program I know that works is [url]http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/[/url], but you have to pay $20. Sucks! I have been doing some research and found this [url]http://www.xpadder.com/[/url] , it's free but I have not tryed it. If anybody knows anything more about this stuff, please post.

Hey grunt mine works fine for arma 2 if thats what your talking about? Its really well compatableised if that makes sense.

I had Madden 08 for the PC and it sucked with the keyboard and mouse. I just plugged in a wired 360 controller and all the buttons were already configured to the Xbox's for the same game. Worked like a charm. Microsoft provides the PC drivers needed for a 360 controller, I'm surprised you're having issues.

One of them was the "enter" key. It needs to be configured differently that's all.

I use it for Assassins Creed II, works very well and Need For Speed:Shift.

I will try an unistal and reinstall and see what happens. I still would like a program that I could use to configure buttons. If anyone knows of any, please let me know

You should be able to set the key bindings in the settings of the game. BC2 auto-configured my joystick. I have yet to try it but I assume it works fine.

It didn't. As soon as i could I tried that. Everything was set to crap. I would push "x" and it would be enter and bring up the menu. That's where this all started. So idk.
