Guest RET.Capt.MustangMan94=US=
Yeah I hate myself for buying my Alienware laptop you can get such a better computer for half the price!
Guest Big Mac150
Uggh. We have gone through this before. I can't make a computer. I want a Pre-Built. And Alienware seems decent. I mean, my dad isn't friends with the price yet but they will begin to like each other soon:)
Guest SilentScout^
Sorry to say but I think Alienware Sux
Guest RET.CW4.ThievingSix=US=
I don't know i like the idea of their cable management system and their cooling. I also like how the insides are well organised and are almost plug and play, the computer i have now is a bomb inside, it took me 20 minutes to find the ram slot because it was hidden behind a harddrive that was screwed in
Guest Ret.Maj.Xander=US=
check out some of the higher end Cooler Master Cases, they are set up better than Alienware. And Big Mac honestly you can find better pre-built computers that aren't brand name. Honestly u r still paying 1-2k extra just for the Alienware name. Guest RET.Capt.MustangMan94=US=
It's ok to not build your computer but theres alot more smaller companies out there that build realy nice comps and are alot cheaper.
Guest RET.CW4.ThievingSix=US=
Yeah i've considering getting a small company but i dunno, i cant really find any reliable ones in Australia or ones that build something similar to alienware. any suggestions? Guest RET.CDR.CrAzY_NuTtA=US=
Dont go for looks big mac, it just makes you more of a geek :P. You will regret it once you need to upgrade parts a year down the line, when your money could go to better parts which will last longer.
Guest Cycle
maybe the cooler master haf 223 (midi tower) or the haf 224 (big tower) is something for you. the neat inside of the alienware is not that hard to get to bij building it yourself just buy a power supply that is modular, like the cooler master real power pro line, they are realy silent and modular, which saves like 20 cables inside your pc

I don't think there is anything wrong with these computers. I agree that the price is a little overboard but its the same as buying a car. An Escalade is over $60,000. i can buy the same size care for $40,000. Its the name, i know. This would be my first PC buy for gaming and i just want to stick to alienware for now. I don't want to go to ibuypower.com thats just hideous..

Guest RET.GEN.Darmine
I bought an alienware laptop and the monitor now has these crazy lines going threw it(It's only three years old). Building your own is way cheaper and it is way easer. Just plug and play. back when the 200mhz builds were out. You had to actually clock it and use jumpers to set your computer, so it works right. Its cake. Plus you have all the info you need if you google it. Or use us. Make sure all your parts are compatible Make sure the power supply is got enough juice- and make sure your case can fit all your goodies.
Guest Ret.Maj.Xander=US=
yea u just need to make sure u get parts from the same generation. it all depends on the mother board, from there u can pick what type of processor your looking for and what kind of RAM u r looking for. SATA hard drives are the standard now instead of the IDE connection. Same goes for Optical drives. After all that like Darmine said you just need to make sure it all fits in the case your getting (the Video Card will be the biggest issue since they are getting huge). And then that the power supply can power it all. But I doubt you'll need much more than a 650W PSU, unless u'r running more than 2 video cards or like 5 hard drives. 1000 watt is more than enough. Guest Cycle
maybe this is something for u, you will have all top of the line, and building youself is not that hard, prices are in euros, so the exact price idk, because parts are cheaper in the us, but with this you have decent parts, with room to overclock without watercooling(imo it's only usefull with extreme oc'ing, and in all other cases it's pure overspeninding). About the building, if you read enough and make a list for urself in which order you should build it, it's a piece of cake ;) I once was also afraid to build a pc, but now it's easy for me so if you have any questions just feel free to pm.
