Unit transfers must be approved by both commanding officers of the company's the member wishes to transfer from and to.

Unit transfers will not be official unless both CO's have agreed on the transfer. Either CO may decline a transfer request and the member will have to wait.

All member requested branch transfers will result in the member taking a rank reduction (non-disciplinary type) of two (2) grades. This applies to both enlisted and officers. Exceptions to be determined by the JCS.

Members may only request a branch transfer if they hold the rank of E-3 or above.

Any company commander may request that another company commander accept the transfer of one of their members without the consent of the member. This means as long as the two company commanders agree a member can be transferred out without even asking for the transfer.

=US= members may only voluntarily transfer one time for every 6 months served. This does not include any leave time the member has taken.
=US= 41-7
Forced transfers made for the needs of =US= will not result in a rank reduction.
=US= 41-8
While on probationary status, Recruits may transfer to another branch in which they feel is a better fit for them. A request to transfer must be posted in the original application which will be moved by the branch recruiter.
