Prospective recruits must have read the announcement threads in the "Join the =US=" Forum fully before submitting an enlistment application to the Recruiting & Retention Staff. Recruits will be placed based on membership needs of each company and the game applied for. Recruits will be assigned to a company upon the acceptance of their application. At that time a mentor will also be assigned by the Training Dept. Applicants may request to join a certain branch. Requests will be considered upon promotion to regular member as long as branch memberships levels are balanced.

Recruits are not authorized to have more then one application at any given time.

Recruits are not allowed to double clan. This means no member of =US= will be a member of another gaming community. Exceptions can be granted only by the JCS.

Recruits should show respect to all full members of the =US= as in turn the respect should be shown to the prospective recruit.

Recruits must undergo a mandatory probationary period of no less then 2 weeks and as long as needed. The terms of the probationary period and activities to be completed (tests, exams,interviews etc.) are determined by the Basic Combat Training MOS OIC.

Branch CO's have authorization to make changes at any time in regards to the probationary period for their branch. MTI's may recommend the denial of a recruit by using their COC within the Basic Combat Training MOS. A reason for the denial (inactivity, etc.) must be stated in the reccomendation.

Branch Commanders may decline a recruit from their branch at any time during their probationary period. A reason must be stated for the denial.

Recruits while on probationary period may wear the =US= tag and rank.

Recruits will not be promoted to E-1 until they become a full member of the =US=.

Recruits may receive a rank upgrade if:
The recruit has active, reserve, or prior experience in any armed force and is able to submit some type of proof, the recruit will be granted the =US= rank as follows. JROTC or CAP will grant you one pay grade increase, College ROTC will grant you a two pay grade increase, and if you are currently active duty/reserves or are a veteran for any military branch you will receive your current/former rank upon proof. (If your current rank is below E4 you will receive the rank of E4. Only exceptions are to officers, JCS will have to approve an acting rank within the clan, due to the administrative levels of =US= officers.)

Placement of a recruit into a platoon is the decision of the Branch CO/1SG or if there is not a Branch CO/1SG the decision of placement is left to the =US= Commanding Officer/Executive officer.

MTI's will have supervision over all recruits in their branch and be responsible for making sure that all questions from the recruit are answered. The mentor is responsible for the actions of recruits while under probation.

Upon request of the Basic Combat Training MOS, Branch CO or =US= Commanding Officer/Executive Officer the MTI will issue a report of status on how the recruit is progressing.

The MTI will issue a professional looking report of status when ordered to do so. An email with “He’s doing fine” will not be accepted. The report should list an activity level, attitude, skill level, and expected date of ending probation of the recruit.

MTI's will submit via the chain of command, a formal request for full enlistment into the =US= when it has been determined that the recruit is indeed active enough in games and forums, and should become a full member.

The Branch CO or =US= Commanding Officer/Executive Officer (if applicable) will approve or disapprove the recruits full enlistment and may also order that the recruit be placed on more probation if necessary or even be discharged from the enlistment process.

Branch CO’s will post the full enlistment submission to the JCS for review no later than 24 hrs. prior to the promotion/awards ceremony.

MTI's will check with the recruit often to ensure that all the recruits questions are being answered.

Each Branch CO will provide a minumum of one MTI to the Basic Training MOS. MTI's will remain assigned to their current company and will not recieve a rank change upon becoming a MTI. The exact duties of a MTI will be determined by the Basic Combat Training CO/NCOIC, The Branch CO/XO, and the =US= Command Staff.

Each Branch CO will provide a minumum of one recruiter to the Recrutiing & Retention. Recruiters will remain assigned to their current branch and will not recieve a rank change upon becoming a recruiter. The exact duties of a recruiter will be determined by the Recruiting & Retention OIC/NCOIC, The Intel/PA OIC/NCOIC, and the =US= Command Staff.
